This is a narrative study on the process of meditation counseling in which three repeaters experiencing anxiety in college examination academies are cured and changed. 1) How are repeaters experiencing anxiety in academy life? 2) What are the contextual factors of anxiety experienced by repeaters? 3) How are repeaters experiencing the anxiety curing process? 4) What are the practical changes experienced by repeaters? Accordingly, the meaning of anxiety and curing experienced by repeaters was derived in this study. 1) The repeaters experienced ¡®anxiety about tests,¡¯ ¡®anxiety about being driven out (of academy),¡¯ and ¡®anxiety from consciousness of other people¡®s eyes.¡¯ 2) The contextual factors of anxiety in repeaters were reviewed in terms of ¡®psychology,¡¯ ¡®home environment,¡¯ and ¡®social environment.¡¯ 3) In the ¡®process of curing anxiety of repeaters,¡¯ the repeaters experienced the process of new awareness and discovery by recalling painful memories from the past. 4) The repeaters experienced the following practical changes. First, ¡®Disappearance of anxiety and fear¡¯ second, ¡®Transition to self-directed learning¡¯ third, ¡®Formation of new relationships¡® The significance of this study is as follows. First, this study was the first attempt to examine the curing process of repeaters experiencing anxiety in academy life through meditation counseling by applying a qualitative and narrative study method. Second, ¡®contextual causes,¡¯ ¡®curing experiences,¡¯ and ¡®practical changes¡¯ in anxiety of repeaters were highlighted. Third, multilayered factors and meanings related to ¡®anxiety¡¯ of repeaters were explored.
